Hello, I’m Berk. I’m 20 years old. My gaming journey started when I was 14 years old and by the time I was 17 I decided to create my own game since no other game on the market fulfilled my desires.
A time after my long solo brainstorm sessions, I decided to re-made LOCO (Land of Chaos Online) which was my favorite game at 2011. (I was really upset that the game was shut down and I was hoping that they would release a new loco game until this year.)
After some research, I have realized that I could use the old models in the game even though I had no idea about modeling. I was saying to myself that “Why won’t I, a LOCO fan, resuscitate the game ?”. The excitement in that very own moment was worth having a million dollars.
So I started to build the game with all the knowledge I had. At first, I tried to recreate the game with Unity, right when I was 19 years old when I switched to UNREAL ENGINE 4 because I realized that Unity wasn’t efficient enough and also UNREAL ENGINE was definitely down a solo developers alley like me. I learned all the information one can learn about Unreal Engine to properly develop the game.
It took 1 year for me to develop half of it though it is normal considering I was all by myself. I don’t have any team or company. Not that I need it because I’m alright with it as long as I can manage on my own.
Then I created a website for the followers of my project so they can track the development process and any news about the game.
(btw we had many choices for the name of website but we had no time to think deeply and thoroughly about which name is the best so we decided on “Lolizen”.)
I have 1-2 years of experience in the gaming industry and my purpose is to create the “DREAM GAME”. Although this road is a tough one I don’t slog while doing it because I have so much fun!
Finally, I can empathize with the old LOCO players as one of them and I’ll try my best to develop it the way all of us want.
